Lilongwe, 08 October, 2015: South African-based Malawian gospel artist Clara Nyirongo will, on 7th November, 2015, launch her second album ‘Nkhoswe Yanga-Yesu’ at Hilbrow Theatre in Johannesburg.

The title track of the album, according to Nyirongo, comes from Psalms 16 verse 8 which says “I have set the Lord always before me because He is my right hand, I will not be shaken.”

“I am fully prepared for my second album launch and people should expect a live performance and a great change in my performance.

“This project has taken me a year preparing, recording and to launch this album which I have featured Steve Conex Chalenga, Nyaradzai Chitheka and Evans Meleka.

“The message I am bringing to people in my new album is that as people we must love what we are doing and we must not despise who we are,” said Nyirongo adding that guest artist at the launch is Bertha Nkhoma.

The 12-track album has Jehova Jaire, Tamuyeseni Ambuye, Kachisi, Umboni, and Nkhoswe Yesu among other songs.

Nkhoswe Yanga Yesu album which was recorded at Ralph Records by Ralph Ching’amba will locally be sold at One Heart Distributors which is owned by Lloyd Phiri and in Johannesburg the album is being sold at Khomba Music.

She said patrons to the launch will walk away with free CDs of her first album, Ana Amasiye.

Nyirongo said plans were underway to start shooting DVD for her songs soon after the launch adding the DVD project had delayed due to financial challenges.

“I had hiccups financially in preparing this album but am hopeful that after the launch by God’s grace I will start shooting my music video,” said Clara.

She said supporting artists at the launch will include Nyaradzai Chitheka, Trizah Titus, Gift Chilonga, Alfred Kumsanja, Joyful Singers, Livingstonia CCAP Choirs, Liana Kasinja, and Alex Chung, among others.

Nyirongo made headlines in the music circles in 2011 with the Ana Amasiye album which was also launched in Johannesburg.
