Blantyre, March 7, 2019:  After hitting the country’s airwaves by surprise with her debut gospel album ‘I worship,’ Gloria Walusa Phiri known as Shekinah in the music circles is set for her album launch to take place at Hotel Victoria in Blantyre on the April 27, 2019.

The golden voice upcoming gospel musician came in the music limelight early in 2018 when her 11-song album hit the country’s airwaves.

She said since the release of the first album, she has received overwhelming support from fans, both local and international.

“I am happy to tell you that my music has received positive reception in the country and abroad and I have so far, ministered in several churches and ministries,” Shekinah said.

“I was waiting for such a time to launch the album to allow people to familiarize themselves with the songs,” the Gospel singer added.

The ever-smiling diva said on this day a raffle draw will be made such that anyone who buys a ticket for the show will automatically enter the race whereby two lucky people stand a chance of winning a television set each, Halogen Cookers, Digital Decoders and T/shirts.

Shekinah said the tickets are sold at K5, 000 for standard and K10, 000 for the VIP and could be accessed at Overcomers Shop, Livingstone Pharmacy, Impact Look Barbershop and FedEx in Blantyre.

Among the supporting artists to grace the show will be Faith Mussa and Allan Chirwa, according to Shekinah.

She said later this year, depending on availability of funds, she would take the launch to the central, eastern and northern regions.

“Unlike the case with other musicians, through my personal initiatives the CDs and DVDs have been selling like hot cakes on the local market, hence defeating piracy,” Shekinah noted.

She disclosed that she would soon be doing collaboration with a Zimbabwean based gospel artist, Pastor Jack who is one of her international fans.
