Sharma Vocals promise fireworks at Sand Music Festival

Blantyre, September 7, 2018: Malawi’s youthful gospel musician, Sharma Vocals has promised fireworks at the 2018 Sunbird Sand Music Festival scheduled to take place between October 26 and October 28 at Livingstonia Beach in Salima.

Sand Music Festival is a three-day festival held annually at Sunbird Livingstonia Beach in Salima aimed at uniting people who love music, art, food and ideas on the shores of Lake Malawi.

Speaking in an interview on Wednesday in Blantyre, Sharma Vocals of ‘Ayesu amakukhala’ fame applauded the organizers of the event for including him to be part of the programme, adding that the Sunbird Sand Music Festival is a big platform.

“This will be the first time for me to perform at Sunbird Sand Music Festival and it is an honour considering that the event involves international artists and fans. This will put me on a good platform and in contact with international artists,” said Sharma.

The artist said he does not want this to be his last time to take part at the festival, saying it should be the starting point where he said would not disappoint the organizers and his fans

The fast rising star, therefore, urged music lovers in the country to buy tickets in advance for the festival which go at K20, 000.

Among other notable international artists who are going to headline the event will be Kenyatta Hill, son of reggae legend, Joseph Hill, Ammara Brown, daughter to the late Zimbabwean musician Andy Brown and Andrew Tosh, son to iconic reggae artist Peter Tosh, just to mention a few.

Malawian artists who are also going to spice up the event include renowned gospel musician Dr. Ethel Kamwendo Banda, Suffix, Anthony Makondetsa, Piksy, Sam Smack, Black Jack, CODE and many more.
