Tigers Thirsty For 2018 Super League Title

Blantyre; January 5, 2018: Blantyre based Super League side, Azam Tigers Technical Director, Robin Alufandika has vowed to win the 2018 prestigious Telekom Networks Malawi (TNM) Super League title.

Alufandika made the vow as the team kick-starts 2018 league season preparations on Monday at Limbe Country Club in the commercial city of Blantyre.

He sounded optimistic that they will lift the title this season come rain or sunshine.

“We are going to lift the 2018 super league title this season and we are not afraid of any team in the league.

“We are fully prepared this season and teams should expect fireworks from us,” Alufandika warned.

He then called for players who wanted to join the team to report for trials at Limbe Country Club.

“We are calling upon all footballers who want to be part of the Tigers team to come and join us at the Limbe Country Club for trials,” he called.

In the 2017 season, Azam Tigers survived relegation in the top flight league after coming from behind to finish on position 11 with 32 points.

According to 2018 football calendar released by the country’s football mother body, Football Association of Malawi (FAM) the 2018/19 soccer season will kick start in April.
