Mzuzu, November 3, 2017: Northern Region Football Association (NRFA) has appealed to well-wishers in the country to support the association with sporting equipment.

NRFA Vice Chairperson, Felix Mbonekera Msiska, Friday told Malawi News Agency that despite the organization having recently received a donation of footballs and pumps from Be Forward Wanders Football Club to distribute to youths in the region, the association still faces several challenges and that it is in dire need of support.

“We are in dire need of support, especially equipment so that as a region we are able to host more than one game at a go.

“However, this cannot be possible now because the equipment with us does not allow us to host more than one game, just imagine, we have only a single pair of goal nets for the entire region,” said Msiska.

Nonetheless, he said all items donated by Be Forward Wanders have been distributed in the region through various district youth offices and expressed gratitude to Be Forward Wanders Football Club for providing the support.

“My plea is that institutions and individuals should emulate the gesture that the football club demonstrated so that sporting activities are up-lifted in Northern Region,” he said, adding that besides the nets, the association is in need of corner flags.
