Sipho Makhabane to spice up Great Angels Choir website launch

Written by  Daniel Namwini

Lilongwe, August 3, 2017: As one way of breaking boundaries and conquering new grounds through music, one of the biggest gospel groups in Malawi, the Great Angels Choir, is set to launch its own website.

The launch is expected to take place on September 29 starting from 8 pm at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe.

Speaking in an interview with the Malawi News Agency (Mana), William Zonda who is the music director for the group said this website would simplify be for communication with its audience around the globe.

“Firstly, this is the first time for a gospel group in the country to have its own website. For us, we saw it important to have our own web page whereby people would be informed on anything they would want to know about the Great Angels.

“For example, people will be able to know of our programs and effectively follow them. Also, we want people outside the country to be able to buy our music from the page. On the page itself, people should be able to know more of every member of the group,” said Zonda.

According to him, advertisers would also be able to place their adverts on the Great Angel’s website, which has been under development since February, 2016.

He continued to say people, companies and organisations are welcome to come forward and help them in this project because according to Zonda, Great Angels is one of the gospel groups which want to achieve more things in the country as far as gospel music is concerned.

On the launch itself, Zonda said there are interesting activities lined up.

“On this launch, we have invited Sipho Makhabane from South Africa to spice up the launch with his gospel song ‘over and over and we have already paid him deposit (money) for his coming,” said Zonda.

According to the music director, charges are K50, 000 for VVIP, K25, 000 for VIP each and K40, 000 for couples and Standard tickets will be K10, 000 while at the door it will be K15, 000.
