LLHF plans Maula prison donation

Written by  Tiyanjane Mambucha

Lilongwe March 8: The Lilongwe Lunch Hour Fellowship (LLHF) will on 23rd March this year donate assorted items to prisoners at Maula prison in Lilongwe.

LLHF chairman, Blessed Banda told Malawi News Agency (Mana) in an interview on Thursday that it is the ministry’s vision to help the needy both spiritually and physically

“As a ministry it is our vision to preach good news and help the less privileged and this year we included cheering the prisoners in our plan.  On the other hand we are just being like Jesus, as the Bible says Jesus met people’s needs. So as followers of Him, we are doing what our master did while he was here on earth,” said Banda.

He added that what they will donate are the contributions from the ministry.

This is the first time that the ministry is visiting the prison.

“This being our first time to visit the prisoners, we as a ministry, have contributed assorted items to be donated, no one from outside the ministry has funded the programme and as of now we have managed to raise MK60,000 and we are still receiving from our members till the day of visit,” he said

Some of the expected items to be donated include clothes, washing and bathing soap and relish.
