NRB trains Head teachers on National IDs cards distribution in CK

CHIKWAWA, January 12,, 2018: The National Registration Bureau (NRB) has trained 280 Head teachers on how to manage the national identity cards distribution exercise in Chikwawa.

Chikwawa is expected to receive the ID cards this week for sorting and distribution; hence the training which was conducted by District Registration Taskforce for two days.

Chikwawa District Assistant Registration Officer, Maggie Msiska said NRB conducted the training to ensure smooth distribution of the IDs.

“During the training, we have asked the participants to work closely with traditional leaders to ensure that information about the distribution exercise reaches the communities,” Msiska said.

In his remarks, National Initiative for Civic Education (NICE) Trust Coordinator for Chikwawa, Joseph Chamambala commended NRB for the training saying it would help ease challenges that could be encountered during the distribution exercises.

Chamambala hoped that the Head teachers would carry out the exercise with ease as they had been equipped with requisite knowledge through the training.

Head teacher for Suweni Primary School, Paul Chagwaluso said as Head teachers they were ready to handle the exercise and that they were just waiting for the arrival of the IDs.

“We are set for the distribution [exercise]. With the skills we have been given, we will produce quality work,” he assured.
