PP pledges to serve Malawians with integrity, honesty

Written by  Kondwani Magombo

Lilongwe, May 16: The People’s Party (PP) has pledged to serve Malawians with integrity, honesty, tolerance, selflessness, commitment and dedication when voted into power in the forthcoming Tripartite Elections.

PP makes the pledge in the wrapping chapter of its 18-chapter Manifesto which outlines in detail what the party will do to make Malawi move forward.

“This Manifesto is our pledge to our people to transform Malawi together. It sets out carefully considered and bold commitments that can be funded over the next five years and beyond,” explains PP in the Manifesto, adding, “All levels of Government will implement this Manifesto, and we will ensure that it is effectively monitored.”

The Manifesto however says while the PP Government will take a lead, each and every Malawian – communities, workers, private sector and civil society – has a role to play in the implementation of the outlined things.

“As the People’s Party we further pledge to serve Malawians with integrity, honesty, tolerance, selflessness, commitment and dedication; work with our allies and the people to transform Malawi together through the commitments we have set out in this manifesto,” continues the pledge.

PP adds that under the leadership of President Dr. Joyce Banda, government will strengthen the bonds of trust and solidarity with the people and that they will continue to listen and effectively communicate with the people.
