Lilongwe, 17 June, Mana: Police in Lilongwe have arrested 51-year-old Josephy Chisale in connection with a violent robbery that occurred on May 13, 2025, in Chitedze, where a Senior Medical Officer from Mulanje District Hospital was attacked and robbed.

According to Lilongwe Police Public Relations Officer, Hastings Chigalu, Chisale and four unidentified accomplices armed with panga knives allegedly assaulted the victim around 8:00 PM, fleeing with a Toyota Axio, a laptop, a cellphone, and K80,000 in cash.

Following a tip-off, Lilongwe police detectives carried out a targeted raid at Chisale’s residence in Mutu Village under Traditional Authority Mtema, where he was taken into custody and reportedly confessed to participating in the heist.
