Tamanyawaka releases ‘Kuwala’ with Austrian record label

Lilongwe, December 15, 2017: Renowned reggae songstress Tamanyawaka Chavula has released a single track titled ‘Kuwala’ with Austrian based record label known as House of Riddim.

Tamanyawaka revealed to Malawi News Agency (Mana) about the release of the single track, saying it has been produced under a Riddim titled ‘Worldwide Riddim’ in Austria by a top record label after she was asked to work on the Riddim mission.

“I have released my new track which has been recorded, mixed and mastered in Austria by a well known record label after I was asked by producers of the record label to represent Malawi by working on their new released Riddim project,” said Tamanyawaka.

The reggae star added she has sang the new track in Chichewa mixed with English Language saying the Riddim Project will be worked by various reggae artists from 29 countries across the world including; Jamaica, United Kingdom, Italy, Brazil, France and Kenya where the artists have been asked to show up pride of their country.

She also said her new song’s concept narrates how strong Malawi is and how the country stands out and pushes its way forward despite the challenges it faces.

Chavula further says the song indicates that now it is a new bright day shinning to Malawi, giving hope to its people.

The Reggae songbird said she has been working with House of Riddim record label for years as the first African female reggae artist to be signed by the record label. She released a track titled ‘Soldier’ which she says is currently on world biggest music stores.

“I have been working with House of Riddim since 2014 and they are responsible for my music internationally. They are the ones who released ‘Soldier’ which is currently available in world music stores which includes Amazon, iTunes and You Tube,” explained the Reggae songbird.
She ventured into serious music business in 2003 and released single tracks; Jamming for the Lord, Mama Africa, Everlasting Love and Soldier.

The ‘Jamming for the Lord’ hit maker further said was confident that her fans and all reggae music fans abroad will like the new track saying the song is currying powerful message of inspiration.

 “I am pretty sure that my fans and all reggae music lovers internationally will like my new song because of the message it is carrying and also how I have presented it,” she said.

With the release of the new track by international record label, Tamanyawaka said it is positive progress towards her music career as it was impressive to work on international music projects like Worldwide Riddim project.

She urged her fans to receive the new track with pride by purchasing and downloading it, saying it would soon be in hard copies and online music stores including; Amazon and iTunes courtesy of House of Riddim record label.
