Blantyre, November 2, 2017: Anthu Ambiri Entertainment, a youth organization made up of artists with a record has embarked on spreading Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) messages through music shows.

The organization’s Project Manager Daniel Kaliwo AKA DNA said this in an interview Thursday with Malawi News Agency (Mana).

He said after realizing that most youths are not aware of the SDGs, they decided to compose songs with messages regarding the SDGs so that the youths know what they really are, their importance not only to them but to the nation as a whole.

“It has come to our attention that most people do not actually know about the goals set to be achieved by 2030, hence the initiative. We compose songs, organize shows per each goal or rather combine two or three goals at once,” said the Mukandipepesere star.

With musicians such as Sir Paul Banda, KAKA, Rhode Valamanja, Joseph Nkasa and Thomas Chibade on the board, the youngest under Anthu Ambiri has managed to produce an SDG theme song which has taken his well known genre, afro-fusion.

Meanwhile, a music show on the same has been organized on at Friday at Lilongwe Technical College in order to raise funds for the organization’s operations since it has no sponsors yet.

Established in 2012 by Legendary Sir Paul Banda, Anthu Ambiri started its operations in Balaka before moving to Lilongwe’s Area 25 where it also intends to build a music school.
