Lilongwe, February 28; Nde’feyo entertainment will this Friday hold two shows in Lilongwe to promote the labels artist Trumel and the duo of Biriwiri as they release mix tape and singles respectively.
Communications Manager for Nde’feyo Entertainment Kimpho Loka told Malawi News Agency (Mana) that the label’s artist Piksy, Armstrong, Trumel and the duet Biriwiri will perform at the two venues.
Loka said, “It’s a party by Nde’feyo to promote Biriwiri who have a single out -highlights- and will release 3rd studio album ‘The Green Album’ in May.
He added, “Trumel, the latest signing, who will release a mix tape in April and an album in the next half of the year. These shows will give people a chance to see a performance of man behind the popular hit ‘let it go’.”
The show at Culture Club has been organised in collaboration between Nde'feyo and the Club's resident DJ Cool. Nde’feyo DJ Kari P and Zanzi's DJ Scarper will man the show at Zanzi.
“The show at Zanzi comes at a time when Nde'feyo is promoting Biriwiri new singles titled Highlights and Ngalawa Nde’feyo remix which features Theko Sigidi, Armstrong, Piksy and Trumel,” said Loka.
The Nde’feyo publicist described people’s reception to Biriwiri’s singles as overwhelming and that they should expect great shows.
He said, “People are happy and some felt that Biriwiri left a void the period they were less active, but their fans are happy that the duo is back.”
He added, “People should expect fireworks as usual, they will do nothing but impress. Even more than before. Biriwiri has always been unique and the Green Album is a masterpiece.”
Biriwiri and Trumel will perform at Zanzi while Armstrong and Piksy will be at Culture Club. Meanwhile, the show at Summit Club on Saturday has been cancelled due to what Loka described as ‘unforeseen circumstances.’
Both shows will start at 8:00pm. Armstrong and Piksy CDs will be available for sale.
