CoolPro Entertainment to storm Reggae Sunsplash in Zomba

Lilongwe, January 11, Mana: One of the renowned music labels in the country branded as CoolPro Entertainment is set to host a massive music concert titled ‘CoolPro Reggae Sunsplash’ scheduled to take place on May 4, 2019 at CoolPro International Club situated at Malosa area in Zomba District.

The show will be part of CoolPro International Club’s first anniversary celebration following its launch on April 28, 2018.

CoolPro Entertainment Director who also owns CoolPro International Club, Duffy Chikakuda confirmed in an interview with Malawi News Agency (Mana), about the upcoming event saying it will rivet different Malawi’s reggae music legends.

“As CoolPro Entertainment we have organized something big for 2019, whereby we will host a big entertainment bash which will bring big together names on the reggae music scene such as The Wailing Brothers, Ndindi Mally, Moda Fumulani, Lambanie Dube and Sally Nyundo,” said Chikakuda.

He continued saying the show will be hosted by Annie Matumbi and Dj Chronic accompanied by Radio 2 FM-DJ, Mike C as a special guest.

Chikakuda also said the gig will be spiced up with pool tournament which will carter for almost all pool teams from eastern region noting that the competition will be supported by Pool Association of Malawi eastern region chapter.

CoolPro Entertainment has been hosting outstanding music concerts in Zomba District since last year; the music tag once also hosted an enormous music concert dubbed ‘Clash of the Giants’ where musicians like; Lucius Banda, Sam Smak and Nepman entertained their fans in the district.

According to Chikakuda, CoolPro Entertainment and CoolPro International Club, intend to grant people of Zomba District different tastes of live music performances observing that the district is marginalized as far as music entertainment is concerned.

“CoolPro Entertainment focuses on entertaining Malawians through music and I noticed that Zomba District is highly sidelined in terms of entertainment events, for this reason I decided to be hosting annual music events in Zomba as one way of resurrecting music entertainment in the district,” said the CoolPro Entertainment Director.

With the Reggae Sunsplash, patrons are requested to forfeit K3,000 at the door while Carlsberg beer will be sold at a normal price of K750.
